Welcome to the fourth and final 21st Century Author event content session for 2015. Thirty-one authors and illustrators have been through the training this year, working on creating a coherent, engaging and audience appropriate school event.

What has been staggering to witness is how the event they create always has a unique feel and sets them apart from other authors on the school circuit, who might be writing for the same age group or within the same genre.

The authors on today’s session were: Aby King (Lupo and the Secret of Windsor Castle – Hodder Children’s Books), Faye Bird (My Second Life – Usborne Publishing), Billy Coughlan (Not Without My Whale – Maverick), Will Mabbitt (The Unlikely Adventures of Mabel Jones – Puffin), Tom McLaughlin (The Accidental Prime Minister (Oxford University Press), Holly Bourne (Am I Normal Yet? – Usborne Publishing) and Julia Lee (The Dangerous Discoveries of Gully Potchard – Oxford University Press).
