A FAST TRACK GUIDE FOR AUTHORS
This course has been designed to orientate, energise and focus authors, especially – but not exclusively – those new to the publishing process. This interactive session guides new authors through the culture, the partnerships and the proactive role authors can play within the publishing industry.
The key components of this course are:
- Understanding the importance of networks in publishing
- Revolutionising the author/publisher relationship
- Identifying and articulating your own brand
You have the option of including any two of the following topics:
- Navigating online marketing opportunities in a time and cost effective manner
- Delivering high-impact author events with confidence
- Maximising your time in the media spotlight
This offers focused training on a key topic over a full day. It’s a terrific way to demonstrate author care, showing your authors strong, practical support from their publisher. And it provides an opportunity for your authors to share their experiences and to learn from each other as well as from the trainers.
A pre-course assessment form will be provided to the attendees to determine any learning or mobility issues that our trainers need to consider.
POST COURSE EVALUATION
A post-course questionnaire is completed following the session to evaluate if their learning objectives for the course were met.
RETURN ON INVESTMENT REPORTING
A follow up evaluation, typically six weeks after the course, will be conducted with the attendees – to measure how they are putting the knowledge gained from the course into practice.
