The longlists for the CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals have been revealed. The 20 titles on each longlist are contenders for the highest accolades in children’s literature; with past winners of the Medals including legendary authors Arthur Ransome and C.S Lewis and renowned illustrators Quentin Blake and Shirley Hughes.

We’re thrilled to see some brilliant AuthorProfile alumni on the 2015 CILIP Carnegie Medal longlist. Congratulations to Frances Hardinge for Cuckoo Song (Macmillan Children’s Books), Non Pratt for Trouble (Walker Books), Clare Furniss for Year of the Rat (Simon & Schuster) and Gill Lewis for Scarlet Ibis (Oxford University Press).

Also, a mighty congratulations to Rebecca Cobb for The Something (Macmillan Children’s Books) and Chris Riddell for Goth Girl and the Ghost of a Mouse (Macmillan Children’s Books) for making the longlist for the 2015 CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal.
