A brilliant group of authors gathered for the second of our 21st Century Author event content sessions of the year – and the training room was jam-packed with tales of witches, a summoner of demons, the heroes of chocolate, a super-sleuth and stories from the Blackwater Trail. Thanks to the team at Hachette for supplying a training room with the most sensational view – I really don’t know how we got anything done!

L to R: Justin Somper (AuthorProfile), Ruth Hatfield (The Book of Storms – Hot Key Books), Harriet Whitehorn (Violet and the Hidden treasure – Simon & Schuster), Juliet Clare Bell (Don’t Panic, Annika! – Piccadilly Press), Clare Furniss (The Year of the Rat – Simon & Schuster), David Hofmeyr (Stone Rider – Penguin), Rebecca Colby (It’s Raining Bats & Frogs – Feiwel & Friends), Jamie Buxton (Sun Thief – Egmont) and Taran Matharu (Summoner: The Novice – Hachette Children’s Books).
