WHO WE HAVE WORKED WITH

Fiona Roberton studied art and design in London and New York, and has worked and lived and travelled all over the world. She has kept the wolf from the door for a number of years by working as a designer and art director for tv and music industry types.

But she has since befriended the wolf, and now has him to tea on Tuesdays. Sometimes, they go out. She currently lives in leafy South East London.

WANTED: THE PERFECT PET

Not everyone has to go to the pet shop to find their perfect pet…

Once upon a time, there lived a boy called Henry. What Henry wanted more than anything in the whole wide world. . . MORE than chips. . . MORE than a cowboy costume. . . MORE than an all-expenses-paid trip to the moon. . . was a DOG.

A lovable tale of adventure and friendship. . . and the lengths some will go to find it.

A great book to springboard early childhood lessons and imaginative play on pets.

THE PERFECT PRESENT

The dearly loved duo from Wanted: The Perfect Pet return in a heart-warming tale about never letting good friends go.

Henry has the Perfect Pet – a duck called Spot – who thinks he’s found the Perfect Present for Henry’s Birthday. But when the big day comes, Henry’s grandparents arrive with a Perfect Present of their own – a puppy! It is something that could change things between Spot and Henry forever. . .

Reminiscent of Oliver Jeffers, with the same universally appealing style. The book’s topic will appeal to all young children who love pets.

CUCKOO!

A gorgeous story about accepting differences from the creator of Wanted: The Perfect Pet and The Perfect Present. Cuckoo is a bit different from all the other chicks. They too-woo-weet but he cuckoos! So he goes in search of a new home – but the sheep, frogs and cows don’t understand him either. Will he ever find someone who is just like him?

A TALE OF TWO BEASTS

There are two sides to every story.

A little girl finds a strange beast in the woods and takes it home as a pet. She feeds it, shows it off to her friends and gives it a hat. But that night it escapes. Then the beast tells the story of being kidnapped by the girl, who forcefed it squirrel food, scared it with a group of beasts and wrapped it in wool. Can the two beasts resolve their differences?

An eye-opening story that makes you look at things from a different perspective.

The course was excellent.
