WILLIAM OSBORNE


WHO WE HAVE WORKED WITH

William Osborne is a British barrister, screenwriter, film producer and novelist. He was educated at Gresham’s School, Norfolk, Robert Louis Stevenson School, California and is a Scholar of St John’s College, Cambridge University, (MA in Law 1986).

He was called to the Bar in 1983 and practised as a family barrister for a short time as a tenant at 2 Queen Elizabeth Buildings, Middle Temple.

He is married to the well known film producer, Debra Hayward with whom he has four children.

Since 2010 he has been writing historical fiction for young adults.

Nineteen Ninety-Four was written by William Osborne and Richard Turner, and was published by Arrow paperbacks in 1986.

The novel was based on the BBC Radio 4 radio series written by William Osborne and Richard Turner which starred, Robert Lindsay, Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie.

NINETEEN NINETY-EIGHT

Nineteen Ninety-Eight was written by William Osborne and Richard Turner, and was published by Sphere paperbacks in 1988.

The sequel novel was also based on the sequel BBC radio series written by William Osborne and Richard Turner which starred, David Threlfall, Mike Myers, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Pam Ferris.
