ANDREW LANE

WHO WE HAVE WORKED WITH

Andrew Lane is the author of the internationally popular Young Sherlock Holmes series of novels (7 books and counting). He is also writing a parallel series entitled Lost Worlds (2 books so far).

Having trained originally as a physicist and having worked for the Civil Service for longer than he cares to admit, he first migrated into being an author by writing five spin-off Doctor Who novels – four for Virgin Books and one for BBC Books.

He still keeps a foot in the world of Doctor Who by writing audio dramas which are recorded with original cast members and released on CD.

YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES 6: KNIFE EDGE

Something sinister is afoot in the house in the west of Ireland in which Sherlock is staying. There are frightened whisperings among the servants and the house’s owners are clearly scared. But who – or what? – has terrified them so much that nobody will speak out? Young Sherlock must bring all his powers of deduction to unravelling his greatest mystery yet.

Another fast-paced, brilliantly plotted adventure as teenage Sherlock investigates a new crime and comes up against a fresh crop of sinister, clever criminals.

YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES 7: STONE COLD

Following his last thrilling adventure Sherlock Holmes has been sent to live in Oxford to focus on his education. But something strange is happening in the university pathology labs. Body parts are being stolen from corpses and are being posted one by one to an address in London. What can these sinister goings-on mean, and what message is someone trying to send?

In an attempt to find out, Sherlock follows the trail to a very sinister house deep in the countryside. Can he get to the bottom of another baffling mystery?

Sherlock Holmes: think you know him? Think again.

LOST WORLDS

In this fast-paced, high-tech story, Calum and a group of misfit mates – a computer hacker, a freerunner, an ex-marine and a girl with a very big chip on her shoulder – criss-cross the globe, desperately trying to stay one step ahead of their enemy.

LOST WORLDS 2: SHADOW CREATURES

A world of adventure a mouse-click away . . .

As Calum guides a group of friends in a thrilling search for a shadowy creature, it looks as if he has the upper hand. But then a spate of brutal kidnappings puts everything at risk. With Calum held hostage in New Mexico and computer-hacker Tara locked up in London, who can warn the rest of his group – ex-SAS soldier Rhino, free-runner Gecko and Natlalie, the spoilt daughter of Calum’s guardian -that they are hurtling headlong into the jaws of death?
